Who We Are

For over 30 years, Disha Seema Center School (operated by Jyoti Development Trust) has been a beacon of hope nestled within the prestigious campus of IIT Kharagpur. We believe that every child, regardless of their background, deserves the right to education, dignity, and a brighter future.

As a residential school, we provide not just education, but a home to 400 children from underprivileged families across the region. What started in 1995 as a small initiative has now grown into a thriving institution offering complete boarding, lodging, and quality education.

An alumna of IIT Kharagpur, Mrs. Hansa Nundy's relentless passion for social upliftment led her to establish Disha Seema Center School in 1995. Over the past 30 years, her vision has transformed hundreds of lives, turning a small initiative into a thriving residential institution serving 400 children from underprivileged families across the region.

What We Do

Academic Foundation

We provide a strong educational foundation for children, preparing them for admission into mainstream high schools.

Nutrition & Health

Regular mid-day meals and health checkups ensure our students are physically fit to learn and grow.

Extracurriculars

Dance, art, music and sports are integral. We often collaborate with IIT KGP student groups (NSS, Gyancircle) for events.

It costs Rs 20,000 / USD 300 per year to support a child. Please help us to provide them with the life skills so that they can lead their lives with dignity.
